Responsibilities
- Design and implement frameworks and features for the Sophos Central platform.
- Build, maintain, and optimize large-scale data pipelines.
- Participate in architecture, planning, and design discussions.
- Collaborate with operations and site reliability teams for production readiness.
- Contribute to the evolution of platform standards around security and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and building cloud-native platforms on AWS.
- Proficiency in Java with Spring Boot.
- Experience with distributed systems and streaming platforms like Kafka and Apache Spark.
- Familiarity with Apache Hudi and AWS technologies such as EKS, S3, Glue, and Athena is preferred.
- Solid understanding of scalable system design, including API design and monitoring.
- Experience with high-volume data platforms and Data Lake systems.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong Linux/Unix systems experience.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
