
Senior RF Signal Processing Engineer

Base Salary
$180k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and refine DSP algorithms to detect, identify, classify, track, and geolocate RF signals.
- Develop and redefine passive radar systems into distributed spectrum sensing systems.
- Work with recorded and synthetic I/Q data for algorithm development and testing.
- Integrate and test signal-processing software with RF/SDR hardware and host processing platforms.
- Model signal-processing systems and support software integration and field demonstrations.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Production, and other Engineering teams.
- Document technical details and present technical findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant development experience.
- Experience with active or passive RF sensing systems and advanced signal-processing techniques.
- Experience working with recorded I/Q data and generating synthetic I/Q data.
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of FFT analysis, matched filtering, cyclostationary analysis, and related signal-processing techniques.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or MATLAB for algorithm development and code-base integration.
- Experience with software-defined radios and associated signal-processing toolkits.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- Preferred: master’s degree in a relevant technical field, current U.S. security clearance, expertise in cyclostationary signal processing, communication-waveform identification, electromagnetic-spectrum sensing and classification, machine learning for signal classification, tactical signal-processing applications, or RFSOC hardware.
- Preferred: experience with JIRA, Confluence, and DoD, military, or government environments.
