Base Salary

$158k - $214k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build architectures that represent commercial contractual agreements.
  • Develop event-driven systems using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, and DynamoDB.
  • Own and operate highly available, secure systems handling real-time contract data and confidential information.
  • Write efficient, testable code in Java, Kotlin, Python, and TypeScript.
  • Contribute across planning, architecture, implementation, testing, operations, documentation, and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with UX Designers, Product Managers, and other Software Development Engineers to define product scope.
  • Investigate customer issues, release features, and improve systems for Amazon-scale operation.
  • Mentor and support the growth of other developers.

Requirements

  • At least five years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, architecture, code reviews, source control, continuous deployment, testing, and operations.
  • Experience contributing to architecture and design for reliability and scaling of new and existing systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience designing, building, operating, and managing large-scale distributed systems or web services is preferred.
  • Experience building data-driven web applications using RESTful services and APIs is preferred.
  • Experience representing the formal semantics of legal documents is preferred.
