Responsibilities
- Own and deliver engineering platform capabilities for automated build, test, security, and deployment workflows.
- Design, implement, and evolve reliable CI/CD pipelines across teams and services.
- Embed Infrastructure-as-Code practices to standardize provisioning, improve scalability, and prevent configuration drift.
- Integrate security controls into engineering workflows from initial development through production.
- Provide tooling, guidance, and best practices that improve engineering delivery, quality, and resilience.
- Optimize automation to remove repetitive manual work, reduce cycle times, and improve developer experience.
Requirements
- Strong IT and engineering skills with experience in programming or scripting, continuous integration and deployment, automation, orchestration, software development lifecycle practices, and IT security.
- Experience with software application development using technologies such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C++ is desirable.
- Knowledge of databases and ORM, source-code control, CI/CD platforms, configuration management, Infrastructure-as-Code, containers, artifact management, observability, IAM, encryption, and certificate lifecycle management is desirable.
- Experience with technologies such as Git, GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Kubernetes, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Keycloak, Vault, TLS/SSL, or PKI is desirable.
- Must obtain and maintain DV Security Clearance and have lived in the UK for at least 10 years.
