Responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications, product functionality, and test bases to create quality-control artifacts and test scenarios.
- Develop, execute, refactor, optimize, monitor, and manage automated test scripts.
- Design, build, and maintain API, backend, frontend, and end-to-end test automation and provide test-environment setup.
- Define and improve QA strategy, test processes, standards, documentation, metrics, coverage, and test-effort estimates.
- Prepare test data, execute tests at planned levels, evaluate results, and document deviations.
- Investigate and implement new automation tools and approaches and review test artifacts created by others.
- Collaborate with engineers, product stakeholders, and customers on feature specifications, acceptance criteria, and quality assurance.
- Measure component and system performance when applicable.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software testing experience, including manual and automated testing.
- Practical experience using AI and LLM tools in test automation and QA workflows.
- Ability to use AI for test design, test-case generation, automation-code generation, refactoring, debugging, and maintenance.
- Strong experience with API and end-to-end test automation using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks for API and backend testing.
- Experience establishing quality strategy, QA processes, testing standards, and test-management practices in greenfield environments.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and extending coverage from backend services to frontend applications.
- Strong understanding of test architecture, mocking strategies, test-data management, and overall product quality ownership.
- Familiarity with AI agents, skills/tools, MCP, hooks, and agentic automation workflows is a plus.
- Advanced Spanish and upper-intermediate English.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, self-direction, and proactive ownership skills.
