Base Salary
$202k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build a checkout platform portable across mobile and desktop web surfaces and applications.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Science, Operations, mobile, and backend engineers to translate business problems into roadmap deliverables.
- Define technical strategy and prioritization to improve team execution and production impact.
- Identify engineering and architectural gaps and establish standards for monitoring, testing, and alerting.
- Write high-quality code, technical design documents, and production fixes while contributing to framework and design-review practices.
- Mentor other engineers and build effective relationships with partner teams.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience, including rich front-end web experience; backend experience is preferred.
- Experience with web technologies such as TypeScript, Tailwind, and GoLang.
- Track record of solving strategically important problems, including work involving cross-team dependencies.
- Strong knowledge of software design principles, architectural tradeoffs, and engineering best practices.
- Experience driving technical initiatives from inception and stakeholder alignment through implementation and post-launch iteration.
- Experience improving testing, monitoring, and alerting standards for production systems.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills, including aligning teams on technical direction and making data-driven decisions.
- Preferred: strong product sense and UI/UX judgment, experience at large companies, and experience using Golang with web technologies.

- For New York City-based roles, the base salary is USD $202,000-$224,000 per year.
