Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and automation tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, documentation, and productivity improvements.
- Validate AI-assisted outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets, create visualizations and reports, and use identified patterns to improve software applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
- Apply software development lifecycle knowledge across system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST API development, and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
- Ability to guide peers in responsible AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Familiarity with React, Angular, or similar JavaScript frameworks is preferred.
- Exposure to AWS technologies such as EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, or Lambda is preferred.
- Practical experience with AI-assisted developer tools and AI agents such as Copilot or Claude Code is preferred.
