Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the complete robotics software stack from low-level control through high-level planning.
- Develop and optimize motion planning, trajectory generation, and closed-loop control for industrial robot arms.
- Integrate cameras, force/torque sensors, and LiDAR into real-time robot control loops.
- Implement industrial safety concepts and fail-safe behaviors.
- Lead on-site testing, calibration, and commissioning in real industrial environments.
- Drive architecture decisions and engineering best practices across the team.
Requirements
- Require 5+ years of hands-on robotics engineering experience with real robot hardware.
- Require strong knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, and control theory.
- Require proficiency in C++ and/or Python for robotics applications; ROS 2 experience is preferred.
- Require experience with industrial or collaborative robot arms and associated end-of-arm tooling.
- Require proven integration of vision and force/torque sensors into real-time robot control loops.
- Require experience deploying robotic systems in production or industrial environments.
- Require 3D CAD skills, with familiarity in SolidWorks and/or CATIA.
- Require fluency in English, eligibility to work in Germany, and availability for full-time on-site work in Munich.
- German language skills, surface finishing/welding/coating automation experience, machine vision or 3D perception experience, and EtherCAT or OPC-UA familiarity are preferred.
Benefits
- Base salary is listed at EUR 75,000 to EUR 110,000 per year, plus meaningful equity participation.
- The role is full-time and on-site five days per week in Munich, Bavaria; remote work is not offered.
