Base Salary
$244k - $366k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve the Kubernetes platform, service mesh, networking, storage, and CI/CD pipelines, including golden paths and IaC modules.
- Define platform SLOs and use error budgets to balance reliability and delivery velocity.
- Improve build and deploy times, reduce flaky tests, and improve local development ergonomics.
- Lead capacity planning and commitments while building cost, security, and compliance guardrails with Security and FinOps partners.
- Write high-impact code, automation, and tooling; lead through design reviews and incident excellence; and mentor engineers across teams.
- Embed responsible AI capabilities into developer experience, observability, testing, and incident response with security, privacy, cost, and auditability boundaries.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building and operating cloud platforms across compute, networking, storage, and runtimes such as Kubernetes.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes, service mesh, Terraform/IaC, CI/CD, and production observability.
- Experience with multi-region high availability, SLOs, error budgets, databases, and SQL and NoSQL storage systems.
- Experience integrating AI into platform engineering, including code assistance, intelligent test generation, incident triage, anomaly detection, and runbook automation.
- Ability to lead through design reviews, incident excellence, SLO trade-offs, technical standards, and cross-team communication.
- Experience with enterprise governance, compliance, audit requirements, GDPR, and data privacy considerations is preferred.
- Experience delivering high SLOs, faster build and deploy times, AI-enabled developer tooling, and codified cost, security, and compliance guardrails is preferred.
