Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex functionality within the existing .NET ecosystem while integrating with legacy components.
- Reverse engineer undocumented or complex legacy code to identify business rules and technical flows.
- Use AI coding assistants and development environments to accelerate code comprehension, documentation, and refactoring.
- Write unit and integration tests to create safety nets around legacy modules and support modernization.
- Troubleshoot complex bugs and performance bottlenecks as a high-level technical escalation point.
- Build lightweight administrative and maintenance utilities with Microsoft PowerApps.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience.
- Deep expertise in the .NET and C# stack, including older .NET Framework versions.
- Proven experience navigating monolithic legacy architectures.
- Hands-on familiarity with AI coding assistants, prompt engineering, or local model experimentation.
- Mastery of SOLID principles, design patterns, and advanced debugging and profiling techniques.
- Strong commitment to automated unit and integration testing and TDD.
