Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services and REST APIs.
- Develop new features collaboratively with the Product Owner and Architects.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Write unit and integration tests and review merge requests.
- Troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers.
- Document technical solutions.
- Collaborate with DevOps on deployments and releases.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and application-related discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Interaction Design, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience in backend development roles, ideally with enterprise-grade web applications.
- Expert knowledge of TypeScript and Node.js, REST APIs, microservices, PostgreSQL data modeling, and SQL optimization.
- Experience with Git, GitLab, CI workflows, Jest, API design, backend architecture, Docker, and secure software development principles.
- Basic DevOps knowledge for deployment and release processes, with OpenShift or Kubernetes experience and AWS fundamentals preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and quality-oriented skills.
- Fluent English and willingness to continuously learn and adopt new technologies.
- Geospatial technology experience is a plus.
