Responsibilities
- Engineer, govern, and evolve a unified enterprise design system and reusable UI libraries.
- Own frontend strategy, component architecture, tooling, and governance across public and internal web applications.
- Build accessible, performance-driven interfaces using semantic HTML, ARIA patterns, keyboard navigation, WCAG 2.2 AA, and Core Web Vitals optimization.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Architects to translate complex workflows into reusable UI components.
- Manage semantic versioning, technical documentation, breaking changes, and automated UI testing pipelines.
- Mentor mid-level engineers on JavaScript and TypeScript patterns, testing methodologies, and web component design.
Requirements
- Experience designing solution architectures for enterprise design systems, design tokens, and web components.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, semantic HTML5, CSS3, CSS Modules, Styled Components, Tailwind CSS, and Sass.
- Practical experience with advanced React features including Hooks, Context, state management, SSR, and Next.js.
- Experience refactoring applications for accessibility and performance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Storybook, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, visual regression tools, and accessibility testing technologies.
- Ability to maintain code quality rules and monitor Core Web Vitals metrics.
- Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI and using Vite or Webpack.
- Experience with Ionic Framework is a bonus.
