Responsibilities
- Write and ship production JavaScript and TypeScript code daily, review pull requests, and partner with engineers on code quality.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for Prebid.js and Prebid Server, including wrapper configuration, bid adapters, identity, consent, floors, and analytics modules.
- Own the header bidding wrapper architecture and release cycle, evaluate and integrate features, and make key design decisions.
- Track Prebid releases, OpenRTB changes, and header bidding standards and translate them into platform upgrades.
- Work with Google Ad Manager, GPT, and the IMA SDK, including line item architecture, key-value targeting, unified auction dynamics, and Unified Pricing Rules.
- Maintain client-side monetization scripts running across publisher websites at scale.
- Measure and protect Core Web Vitals, memory usage, script execution time, network overhead, and on-page performance.
- Own deployed solutions, address critical issues, and help maintain system stability and reliability.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on expertise with Prebid.js, including wrapper configuration, bid adapters, and identity, consent, floors, and analytics modules.
- In-depth knowledge of the ad auction lifecycle and experience with Prebid Server, stored requests, server-side adapter configuration, and server-to-server routing.
- Strong working knowledge of Google Ad Manager, including GPT, line item architecture, key-value targeting, unified pricing rules, dynamic allocation, and related capabilities.
- At least 4 years of JavaScript development experience and substantial TypeScript experience.
- Experience deploying and operating high-throughput services on Google Cloud Platform, including familiarity with GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
- Broad ad tech fluency covering OpenRTB, SSP/DSP integrations, identity solutions and EIDs, TCF/GPP consent frameworks, Amazon TAM/APS, and video technologies including IMA SDK and VAST.
- Strong experience with asynchronous programming and client-server architecture.
- Strong problem-solving, technical documentation, communication, creativity, and distributed-team collaboration skills.
- Contributions to the Prebid.js or Prebid Server open-source repositories are preferred.
- Ad tech experience is required; the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
