Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated testing across Windows and macOS environments.
- Investigate complex defects using logs, system-state validation, the Windows Registry, and macOS configuration files.
- Configure, use, and troubleshoot virtual machines for cross-platform compatibility.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria.
- Track, document, and report defects using Jira or similar issue-tracking tools.
- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks, preferably with Python.
- Develop and maintain automated tests for desktop and web applications.
- Adapt testing priorities to changing sprint and business requirements.
Requirements
- Require 4–5 years of QA experience with strong desktop application testing on Windows/macOS and/or web testing experience.
- Require strong hands-on test automation and automation-code development experience.
- Prefer Python experience; strong Java or other object-oriented programming experience is also relevant.
- Require experience configuring, using, and troubleshooting virtual machines.
- Require practical experience with Jira or similar defect-tracking tools.
- Require knowledge of file systems, the Windows Registry, and macOS configuration structures.
- Require strong debugging, log-analysis, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, and analytical skills.
- Require the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and learn new technologies.
