Responsibilities
- Expand internationalization and localization workflows, translation management integrations, locale switching, and ICU/CLDR formatting.
- Modernize Box’s core frontend platform, design system, styling isolation, design tokens, and theming standards.
- Build AI-driven developer productivity capabilities, including coding agents, LLM-assisted migrations, codemods, AI skills, and intelligent assistants.
- Evolve frontend monorepo, package management, build pipelines, bundling systems, and automated CI/CD gates.
- Partner with product, design systems, architecture, and engineering teams on scalable multi-quarter initiatives.
- Mentor engineers, lead architectural reviews, write technical specifications, and drive cross-domain technical consensus.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production-grade web applications, component libraries, or frontend platform infrastructure.
- Deep hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, AI developer assistants, intelligent pipelines, evaluation harnesses, or context-aware AI integrations.
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript ESNext, React, and modern React patterns.
- Strong knowledge of CSS Modules, design tokens, CSS variables, CSS isolation and scoping, and animation patterns.
- Experience with monorepos, module bundlers, frontend build systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of web accessibility including WCAG 2.1 AA, cross-browser compatibility, web performance vitals, and automated testing.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to articulate technical trade-offs and drive consensus.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with FormatJS, react-intl, i18next, CLDR/ICU, bidirectional or RTL layouts, translation management systems, Module Federation, client-side analytics, and real user monitoring.
