Responsibilities
- Build and improve AML detection controls and the systems supporting them.
- Own medium-sized projects and deliver work through design, implementation, deployment, and ongoing production support.
- Write well-tested and maintainable code for scalable, observable, secure, reliable, privacy-conscious, and cost-effective systems.
- Use data to understand problems, validate solutions, and measure outcomes.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, analysts, and AML subject matter experts to translate risk knowledge into effective controls.
- Participate in code reviews, improve documentation, communicate trade-offs, and contribute to engineering standards.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience building backend systems, distributed systems, or data-intensive systems.
- Ability to independently deliver medium-sized projects with sound judgment about scope and quality.
- Comfort working with production systems, including testing, monitoring, and operational ownership.
- Strong foundations in maintainable code and collaborative code review.
- Ability to use data to inform decisions and evaluate changes.
- Clear, constructive communication and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Experience with AML or financial crime is preferred but not required.
- Experience running machine learning or large language models in production is preferred but not required.
