Base Salary
$144k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver complete software solutions across design, implementation, testing, delivery, and operations.
- Build and support real-time fraud detection and payments-risk services handling large-scale money movement transactions.
- Design and implement scalable, distributed Java services and web services.
- Apply software design, API design, data structures, algorithms, reliability, availability, scalability, and performance practices.
- Advise management on project-level issues and make technical decisions with limited day-to-day supervision.
- Guide junior engineers and collaborate with Product Owners and Domain Technical Leads.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience of 4–6 years.
- Strong applied experience building, breaking, and rebuilding software applications and creating real-world products.
- Proficiency in backend development using Java EE technologies, including Java, application servers, servlet containers, JMS, and JPA.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and the ability to transform requirements into scalable software designs.
- Experience with HTTP, REST APIs, web services, microservices, design patterns, MVC, Spring, and service-oriented architectures.
- Competence designing and implementing for reliability, availability, scalability, and performance.
- Competence with software engineering tools, Java build tools, unit testing, test automation, and continuous integration.
