Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for scalable cloud-native platforms and services.
- Architect, develop, and operate cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS environments.
- Lead cloud migration, modernization, platform optimization, and Infrastructure as Code governance initiatives.
- Drive CI/CD, GitOps, configuration management, deployment automation, and platform engineering practices.
- Lead capacity planning, scalability assessments, performance benchmarking, load testing, root cause analysis, and chaos engineering.
- Establish reliability, performance, security, automation, and operational excellence standards.
- Partner with engineering, architecture, product, operations, and customer stakeholders on platform roadmaps and business objectives.
- Mentor and coach engineers and influence technical strategy across multiple teams and organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE experience, with alternative minimums stated for advanced degrees.
- At least 5 years of experience leading large-scale cloud platform or infrastructure initiatives.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, C++, or similar.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and operating cloud-native distributed systems.
- Expertise with Azure or AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, service mesh technologies, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, CI/CD, observability, Linux, networking, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives spanning multiple teams and organizations.
- Preferred qualifications include large-scale SaaS, IoT, Telecom, CPS, global services, FinOps, cloud governance, security compliance, platform modernization, and relevant cloud or Kubernetes certifications.
