Responsibilities
- Own BB Companion platform architecture, infrastructure, and automation across squads.
- Lead technical direction, design reviews, and integration across product, data, and AI platform capabilities.
- Enable secure AWS delivery through Kubernetes, EKS, containers, networking, automation, and platform practices.
- Improve reliability, observability, resilience, capacity planning, incident support, and remediation.
- Build self-service capabilities and golden paths to improve developer experience and platform adoption.
- Embed security, privacy, data governance, responsible AI, and agent safety controls.
- Set technical standards, guide governance and complex trade-offs, and mentor engineers across squads.
Requirements
- Staff-level leadership across architecture, platform strategy, complex technical trade-offs, and engineer mentoring.
- Strong AWS platform engineering experience with Kubernetes/EKS, containers, networking, scalability, resilience, security, and cost management.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, scripting, CI/CD, GitOps, and DevSecOps practices.
- Strong system design experience across APIs, integrations, automation, observability, SLOs, and reliable operations.
- Experience embedding security, privacy, risk controls, and vulnerability remediation into platform delivery.
- Clear communication and stakeholder alignment across product, engineering, data, AI platform, risk, and business teams.
- Experience with cloud-native APIs, customer-facing digital services, or conversational experiences is desirable.
- Exposure to AWS AI services, generative or agentic AI workloads, responsible AI, and human oversight controls is desirable.
- Experience with internal developer platforms, golden paths, self-service capabilities, or FinOps practices is desirable.
- Relevant cloud certifications, a technical degree, or equivalent practical experience is desirable.
