Responsibilities
- Support ITIL incident, request, problem, and change management processes.
- Define and document runbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Handle operational requests from Application Support and internal stakeholders.
- Triage and resolve issues within service-level agreements to support customers and unblock development and support teams.
- Maintain live services by monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
- Investigate problems and root causes and champion corrective fixes across the organization.
- Work with infrastructure-as-code and continuously improve operational practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on features and implementations.
- Report on SLAs and performance metrics.
- Participate in an on-call rotation every 2–3 weeks, covering 10am–10pm Monday through Sunday.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in an IT operational, DevOps, SRE, or software engineering role.
- Experience with AWS and Azure cloud services and developing-level knowledge of cloud infrastructure management and setup.
- Ability to write code in any language and demonstrate production implementation experience.
- Experience with Ansible, build and release pipelines, Docker, GitHub, and Terraform.
- Developing-level knowledge of cloud-based distributed systems, observability, telemetry, deployments, and service-level objectives.
- Developing experience with telemetry, centralized logging, and alerting tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, and Prometheus.
