Responsibilities
- Design and govern enterprise application architectures, reference architectures, and technical standards.
- Develop HLDs, LLDs, architecture blueprints, workflows, system designs, and technical documentation.
- Define coding standards, best practices, technical guidelines, and technical SOPs.
- Create architecture models using UML and other design and diagramming tools.
- Lead application design reviews and ensure alignment with architecture principles, performance requirements, and technical standards.
- Define application performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimization strategies for scalability and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership across application development initiatives using Java or .NET, middleware platforms, and modern UI frameworks.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, business, product, and technology teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, mentor teams, and promote architecture adoption.
- Support AI-enabled transformation initiatives involving copilots, agentic workflows, RAG-based applications, model integration, governance, security, and responsible AI.
- Develop business cases, transformation roadmaps, architecture recommendations, and executive-level presentations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall experience.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in banking or financial services.
- Experience creating and evaluating reference architectures, HLDs, and LLDs.
- Experience with UML design tools, diagramming, coding standards, best practices, technical SOPs, and application performance optimization.
- Expertise in Java technologies or .NET technologies, middleware technologies, and modern UI frameworks.
- Experience leading architecture teams and influencing engineering, product, business, and technology stakeholders.
- Ability to train teams, mentor architects and developers, and promote architecture adoption.
- Strong consulting, stakeholder management, facilitation, presentation, and executive communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or equivalent; MCA, MTech, M.Sc., or equivalent postgraduate qualification is also acceptable.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is desirable.
- Preferred experience with Flutter, IBM MEA or Kony, TOGAF, Open Agile Architecture, Domain-Driven Design, SAFe, capability modelling, value-stream mapping, and enterprise architecture tools such as Mega Hopex, Avolution ABACUS, Planview, or Orbus iServer.
