Base Salary
$70k - $123k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain operational components in public clouds like AWS and Azure.
- Create tools and processes that enhance operational workflows.
- Configure and deploy containerized microservice workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to maintain production applications and infrastructure.
- Work closely with development teams to improve build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Design new tools to automate infrastructure management.
- Build and maintain monitoring and alerting tools within a cloud environment.
- Perform day-to-day support of applications, including deployment and patching.
- Troubleshoot systems and provide root cause analysis.
- Provide rotational 24/7 on-call technical support.
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in infrastructure management and automation.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and services, specifically AWS and Azure.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux environments.
- Familiarity with configuration management systems like Puppet or Chef.
- Ability to write code in Python or PowerShell for infrastructure scripting.
- Strong understanding of build and automation systems such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Proficient in Git version control.
- Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Ability to automate self-service workflows.
- Understanding of cloud and web security is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related STEM field.
