Base Salary

$82k - $138k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with SRE engineers to operate SaaS capabilities across multiple cloud regions.
  • Design, implement, configure, and use monitoring systems to track SaaS product health.
  • Manage ArcGIS Velocity and ArcGIS Workflow Manager infrastructure, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot issues to resolution.
  • Develop and maintain automation for deployment pipelines, incident resolution, and scaling processes.
  • Design and implement deployment and upgrades for containerized microservice components powering Esri SaaS offerings.
  • Create and automate Git workflows for code integration, testing, and infrastructure deployments.
  • Participate in technical spike efforts and contribute ideas to future software versions.
  • Troubleshoot incidents and produce root cause analysis reports.
  • Provide rotational on-call technical support.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience managing Kubernetes, including EKS, ELK, Prometheus, Docker, and ECS.
  • Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Ability to design and automate Git workflows for code integration, testing, and infrastructure deployment.
  • Ability to write Bash, Python, and Terraform scripts for deploying infrastructure and applications.
  • Strong experience with AWS and cloud computing platforms.
  • Strong Linux operating system administration skills, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and VPNs.
  • Experience troubleshooting system and application issues and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Working knowledge of source control and issue management systems, preferably GitHub.
  • Working knowledge of authoring, deploying, and troubleshooting Java applications on AWS Lambda.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, GIS, or information systems.
  • Preferred: five or more years designing, administering, or maintaining cloud environments supporting 24×7 high-availability production environments.
  • Preferred: experience with GitOps, OpenSearch, Kafka, resilient SaaS systems, and Esri ArcGIS or other web mapping technologies.
  • Preferred: AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate, CKA, CKAD, or similar certification.
  • A master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
