Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, debug, and improve secure, high-quality production software.
  • Create and maintain architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring security, resiliency, performance, and scalability.
  • Lead adoption of approved AI-assisted development, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and automation practices with appropriate validation standards.
  • Improve application and system operational stability by identifying recurring issues, automating remediation, and analyzing data and operational signals.
  • Lead vendor and internal technical evaluation sessions covering architecture, technical capabilities, and integration applicability.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to software engineering communities of practice while promoting inclusion and respect.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including practical experience with Java/J2EE or a related ecosystem, plus database querying languages.
  • Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle, including application resiliency, security, automation, quality, and observability.
  • Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development and coaching engineers on responsible, secure, and compliant use.
  • Knowledge of at least one technical discipline such as cloud, AI/ML, or mobile, along with practical cloud-native experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies are preferred.
