Responsibilities
- Analyze business, regulatory, and technology requirements in payments and derive target architecture and IT landscape requirements with clients.
- Design payment platform solution architectures, architecture diagrams, API designs, and integration concepts for complex banking environments.
- Evaluate architecture and technology options and assess their impact on existing system landscapes.
- Develop solutions involving digital euro initiatives, instant payments, open finance, EPI/Wero wallet solutions, and AI-supported payment processes.
- Support development teams in implementing architecture decisions and continuously evolve target architectures based on practical experience.
- Contribute to demanding transformation projects and gradually take ownership within the international payments community.
Requirements
- Completed university degree in a relevant field, preferably with a technical or scientific focus.
- At least five years of experience in architecture, solution design, or technical consulting in the payments sector.
- Strong knowledge of API-first architecture, microservices, event streaming, and highly available integration and platform architectures.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, and understanding of DevSecOps principles and modern software development processes.
- Confident communication with diverse stakeholders in German and English.
