Responsibilities
- Design and build MCP servers over product business objects, including capability modeling, discoverability, versioning, and backward compatibility.
- Build safe agent write paths for changing customer operational data and create skills, routing, and orchestration layers for agent operations.
- Develop ontologies, knowledge graphs, semantic layers, embeddings, vector retrieval, hybrid search, chunking, indexing, memory, and grounding infrastructure.
- Establish knowledge graph data quality, provenance, versioning, evaluation, testing, observability, monitoring, governance, security, and operational practices.
- Build control-plane capabilities for authentication, entitlements, agent identity, telemetry, metering, injection resistance, and deny-by-default access.
- Create evaluation harnesses to certify agent behavior against the real product and iteratively improve agent quality.
- Prototype emerging technologies and customer scenarios, contribute to technical design and reviews, support colleagues, and participate in customer engagements, demonstrations, industry events, and partner collaboration.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background with production experience building and operating enterprise systems.
- Deep experience with distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, API and schema design, event-driven systems, security, observability, and CI/CD.
- Strong programming ability in a modern backend language.
- Hands-on experience building and shipping production AI applications using large language models, RAG, agentic workflows, orchestration frameworks, tool use, function calling, and autonomous or multi-agent architectures.
- Deep expertise in knowledge graphs and semantic modeling, including ontology design with RDF, OWL, SKOS or property-graph equivalents, taxonomy and controlled-vocabulary design, entity resolution, schema evolution, versioning, embeddings, vector databases, and grounding.
- Experience with experimentation, benchmarking, prompt engineering, tracing, quality measurement, agent tuning, and evidence-based evaluation.
- Ability to integrate enterprise applications, business processes, workflows, and data platforms and translate tacit domain knowledge into explicit machine-usable models.
- Depth in tool-surface and agent-runtime engineering or enterprise platform engineering, including MCP servers, tool ecosystems, capability modeling, governance, versioning, backward compatibility, multi-tenancy isolation, Oracle PL/SQL, and OData.
- Experience with agent frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph, AutoGen, PydanticAI, the OpenAI Agents SDK, or CrewAI is desirable.
- Experience with reusable AI platforms, MCP ecosystems, shared engineering capabilities, Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one hyperscale cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is desirable.
- Experience with reverse engineering or interpreters, token-efficient agent design, relevant enterprise software domains, or contributions to open-source projects, technical communities, conferences, publications, or standards is desirable.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping production AI applications.
Benefits
- Balanced remote and in-office working arrangement with in-person community collaboration.
- Opportunity to work on AI-native enterprise software and production AI systems at global enterprise scale.
- Inclusive, diverse, international work environment with sustainability and professional collaboration opportunities.
