Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data platform solutions.
- Design, develop, and enhance distributed data processing systems for payment, settlement, authorization, and analytics workloads.
- Build and maintain reliable, high-performance data pipelines moving large volumes of data across platforms and business domains.
- Contribute to data platform architecture, data delivery capabilities, and Master Data Management solutions.
- Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, engineering decisions, code reviews, and mentoring.
- Improve system reliability, observability, automation, performance, and operational excellence.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and automate manual processes to reduce operational risk.
- Develop testing strategies and quality assurance practices for reliable data solutions.
- Address data quality, performance, scalability, governance, compliance, and security challenges.
- Contribute to project planning, estimation, delivery, and long-term platform health.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years with an advanced degree, 2+ years with a PhD, or 11 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, graph databases, and RESTful APIs.
- Expert-level experience with Spark, Hive-based technologies, and Big Data development tools and platforms.
- Extensive hands-on programming experience with Java, Scala, or Python.
- Experience leading large-scale, end-to-end projects from concept through production delivery.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and computer science fundamentals.
- Experience with relational and non-relational data modeling.
- Preferred experience applying Generative AI and Large Language Models in data engineering.
- Preferred experience collaborating with data scientists and machine learning teams.
- Preferred experience designing and managing data pipelines with tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Preferred proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership.
- Experience supporting data quality, lineage, governance, compliance, and security requirements.
Benefits
- Estimated US salary range of $180,600.00 to $289,300.00 per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.
