Base Salary
$180k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect interactive systems that unify robot logs, video, and 3D sensor data for human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Build tools for episode annotation, teleoperation, skill capture, and analysis of manual interventions.
- Design algorithms that extract trajectories, events, and 3D poses from raw sensor captures.
- Develop high-performance evaluation and benchmarking tools comparing model-driven motion with human-captured data.
- Build and operate distributed pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and validating terabytes of multimodal data.
- Create visualization and observability tools that clarify model behavior and sensor data and accelerate model development.
- Collaborate across ML, Robotics, and Product teams and help define the data-team roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software experience, ideally focused on data-intensive or human-in-the-loop platforms.
- Proficiency in Python, NumPy, and Pandas, plus a solid understanding of modern backend architectures.
- Strong algorithmic and geometric skills, including coordinate transformations and 3D spatial reasoning.
- Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and Redis, and cloud-native infrastructure using GCP or AWS.
- Ability to independently debug real-world data issues such as sensor drift and pipeline bottlenecks.
- React and TypeScript experience is a major plus for internal observability tools.
- Experience with multimodal data such as video, LiDAR, and time-series data in robotics or autonomous systems is a bonus.
- Familiarity with Airflow, Kubeflow, or similar distributed batch-processing systems is a bonus.
- Experience with experiment-tracking frameworks such as Weights & Biases or MLFlow is a bonus.
- Early-stage startup experience is a bonus.
