Base Salary

$123k - $191k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and support secure, scalable solutions for Visa’s Acceptance Solutions transaction-processing platform.
  • Develop enterprise-scale APIs, web services, microservices, and integration-focused applications.
  • Perform system design, debugging, code reviews, production support, and automated testing.
  • Work with cloud-native platforms, event-driven systems, data pipelines, observability tools, and authentication technologies.
  • Implement generative AI, agentic AI workflows, or intelligent automation where applicable.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
  • Support transaction lifecycle, clearing, settlement, funding, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance-related workflows.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience and a bachelor’s degree, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, or Kotlin.
  • Ability to use GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and agentic AI development tools effectively.
  • Experience designing, building, and testing APIs, web services, or microservices.
  • Preferred experience includes backend, web-based, or integration-focused application development.
  • Preferred experience with REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON, API-first development, Git, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and observability tools.
  • Preferred experience with data engineering, ETL pipelines, data lakes, reporting systems, business intelligence, SQL, data modeling, dimensional design, analytics, and data visualization.
  • Preferred experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, mTLS, encryption, automated testing, contract testing, performance testing, and service virtualization.
  • Preferred knowledge of payments, transaction lifecycle, clearing, settlement, funding, reconciliation, regulated industries, financial reporting, data governance, data quality, and data lineage.
  • Preferred experience mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
