Base Salary
$230k - $385k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of internal applications from problem discovery and solution shaping through implementation, rollout, measurement, and improvement.
- Build internal user experiences with React and TypeScript backed by Python services and APIs.
- Design and own integrations with Oracle Fusion, Zip, and other enterprise systems, including API contracts, authentication, permissions, validation, data mapping, and safe writes.
- Build durable workflows and agentic systems using Temporal or similar technologies with retries, idempotency, approvals, audit logs, observability, replay, and backfill.
- Apply AI models, tool use, and agents to business workflows with validation, evaluation, human review, and operational safeguards where valuable.
- Partner with Finance and Supply Chain stakeholders to identify high-value problems and create dependable products.
- Own production quality through testing, monitoring, incident response, security reviews, and operational support.
- Develop reusable application, integration, and workflow building blocks across products.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, excluding internships, with a record of shipping production software.
- Experience building products or internal tools from idea through production and making tradeoffs amid incomplete or changing requirements.
- Strong Python experience building backend services and APIs; FastAPI or similar framework experience is helpful.
- Proficiency with React and TypeScript and modern web development, or strong willingness to work across the stack.
- Experience with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL and sound data modeling judgment.
- Experience designing integrations, distributed systems, asynchronous workflows, or order, fulfillment, and supply chain APIs that safely handle failures and retries.
- Experience with Temporal, queues, event-driven systems, MCP connectors, AI agents, or evaluation systems is preferred but not required.
- Care for product quality, reliability, security, performance, and user experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with engineers, application owners, data engineers, and business partners.
