Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate data discovery and classification programs.
- Define and maintain data classification standards and handling requirements.
- Deploy and maintain data security and governance tooling.
- Integrate data discovery and classification signals into security workflows.
- Partner with engineering teams to embed security controls into data pipelines.
- Continuously improve visibility into sensitive data access and protection.
- Own and operate vulnerability management efforts.
- Identify and assess data exposure risks.
- Correlate vulnerability data with business impact for prioritization.
- Track remediation actions and validate fixes.
- Monitor and improve data security posture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Security Engineering or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with data discovery and governance tools.
- Strong understanding of data security concepts.
- Experience with vulnerability management programs.
- Solid understanding of Azure cloud architecture and security controls.
- Familiarity with identity and access management.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks impacting data security.
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.
- Relevant certifications in Information Security are preferred.
