Responsibilities
- Design and build high-performance optimization and scheduling systems for complex network-resource allocation problems.
- Translate complex product and network requirements into effective computational models.
- Improve solution quality, runtime, scalability, and explainability as problem complexity grows.
- Evolve solver architecture to improve scalability, robustness, and reliability under increasing system complexity and load.
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain core production software.
- Manage project priorities, timelines, and deliverables while taking ownership of engineering projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience designing and developing production software systems.
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, software design, testing, and debugging.
- Experience building algorithmically complex, computationally intensive, or performance-sensitive software.
- Proficiency in Golang, C, C++, Rust, or Java.
- Preferred: experience with numerical optimization, mathematical programming, or solver development, including LP/MIP/QP solvers, gradient-based methods, or metaheuristics.
- Preferred: experience with performance profiling, numerical accuracy, and debugging complex computational systems.
- Preferred: experience with distributed or cloud-based compute systems.
- Preferred: familiarity with telecommunications, networking, logistics, planning, or adjacent domains.
- Applicants must satisfy applicable U.S. export-control access or authorization requirements for ITAR/EAR-controlled information.
