Base Salary
$147k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Continuously evaluate security tools covering data loss prevention, vulnerability management, identity and access management, web application firewalls, email protection, and endpoint protection.
- Evaluate and implement security orchestration, automation, and response software.
- Develop and maintain scripts for threat hunting, detection, and digital forensics automation.
- Design, implement, and refine security detection mechanisms to improve operational efficiency and observability.
- Maintain a cloud-based SIEM by ensuring relevant logs are ingested and alerts are tuned.
- Lead or support incident response activities and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical escalations.
- Monitor emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends.
- Conduct internal phishing campaigns and security awareness training.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure secure implementation guidelines are followed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a security engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in incident response, threat hunting, and cloud security with a focus on AWS.
- Proficiency in purple team operations, including offensive and defensive strategies.
- Experience with OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect identity management protocols.
- Experience automating incident response playbooks with SOAR solutions.
- Experience with Cloudflare, Datadog, Wiz, and Tines is preferred.
- Experience drafting standards, policies, and architecture diagrams.
- Experience with Terraform or Ansible is a plus.
- Required scripting experience with Python or Bash.
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, SSCP, or GSEC are a plus.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Foundational knowledge of agile methodologies.
