Responsibilities
- Develop key components of the financial exchange platform.
- Design, develop, implement, maintain, analyze, test, and debug Java/Kotlin applications.
- Refactor and redesign platform components to improve scalability, maintainability, and long-term performance.
- Translate requirements into technical specifications and identify production and non-production application issues.
- Ensure product designs meet users’ security, resilience, and confidentiality needs.
- Create documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot production issues to maintain stability and high availability.
- Coach and mentor development team members and contribute ideas for product improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven software engineering experience with Java, Kotlin, or other JVM-based languages.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including databases, concurrency, security, and networking.
- Experience contributing to a development team that delivered a successful large-scale product.
- Experience with relational database management systems, message queues, and Public Key Infrastructure.
- Experience deploying and operating services in containerized environments, including Kubernetes or similar orchestration platforms.
- Experience working with REST APIs.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and adaptability skills.
