Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new or revised enterprise application systems and programs.
- Participate in feasibility studies, estimates, IT planning, risk assessment, application development, and model development.
- Manage or monitor application development through analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and operational support.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Design and secure enterprise REST APIs and develop security measures through post-implementation analysis.
- Work with users, clients, and technology teams to resolve issues and install or support applications.
- Define operating standards and processes while ensuring required procedures are followed.
- Lead technical initiatives, design system components, advise senior stakeholders, and mentor junior developers or analysts.
- Assess and escalate technology, compliance, and control risks appropriately.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of Core Java 17/21, including lambdas, streams, records, pattern matching, multithreading, concurrency, and memory management.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Core.
- Strong Oracle Database skills, including indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience designing and securing enterprise REST APIs.
- Practical experience with Docker, OpenShift or Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka or IBM MQ and microservices patterns such as API gateways, circuit breakers, and service mesh.
- Understanding of enterprise security controls, vulnerability scanning, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with JUnit and Mockito and a strong commitment to software quality.
- 6–10+ years of professional software development experience focused on backend Java in an enterprise environment.
- Proven experience leading technical initiatives, designing system components, and mentoring developers.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related technical field is recommended.
- Financial services experience, AI coding-assistant experience with tools such as GitHub Copilot or Devin, and familiarity with React or Angular are preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and technical explanation skills.
