Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for network and observability platforms.
- Define and execute functional, integration, performance, scalability, and regression test strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand requirements, design test cases, and identify risks.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and faster delivery.
- Analyze test results, identify failure root causes, and provide actionable feedback to development teams.
- Mentor and guide engineers on test automation and observability testing best practices.
- Drive quality initiatives involving test coverage, automation metrics, and reporting.
- Use logs, metrics, and traces to validate network behavior and platform reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of software testing experience, including 2–3 years in test automation.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Pytest, Robot Framework, or JUnit.
- Experience with network technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, and SNMP.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK observability tools.
- Experience integrating tests with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD systems.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence quality practices across teams.
- Preferred experience with large-scale distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices testing, network performance testing, monitoring, test data management, network traffic simulation, and mentoring or leading automation teams.
