Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain React and TypeScript applications aligned with architecture and squad priorities.
- Build reusable components, shared UI patterns, and design-system-aligned user experiences.
- Contribute to routing, state management, data fetching, forms, validation, error handling, API integration, and client-side architecture.
- Write maintainable and secure front-end code and support accessibility, browser compatibility, performance, observability, resilience, and maintainability.
- Create and maintain unit, component, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.
- Contribute to front-end CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, static analysis, test automation, and deployment readiness.
- Diagnose and resolve complex front-end issues affecting delivery, quality, performance, or production stability.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pairing, design discussions, and technical guidance.
- Contribute to shared front-end standards, templates, component patterns, libraries, frameworks, and engineering practices.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, backend engineers, platform engineers, QA, UX/UI colleagues, and third-party software partners.
- Participate in Agile planning, refinement, retrospectives, technical discovery, and continuous improvement.
- Support front-end recruitment and onboarding activities and identify improvements to developer experience and delivery effectiveness.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent capability demonstrated through delivery experience.
- Strong commercial or enterprise experience delivering modern React and TypeScript applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with the React ecosystem, including hooks, component composition, routing, forms, and modern application architecture.
- Knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and front-end build tooling.
- Experience with state management and data-fetching patterns such as Redux, Zustand, or TanStack Query, or equivalent approaches.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger, including authentication, authorization, and secure client-side integration.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, or Playwright, or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of WCAG, semantic HTML, browser compatibility, front-end performance optimization, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps or equivalent tooling, dependency management, and quality gates.
- Ability to contribute independently, support less experienced developers, participate in technical design, and collaborate across engineering and product teams.
