Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand AR/VR use cases, dataflows, and hardware/software partitioning.
- Translate use-case requirements into implementation specifications and contribute to software design.
- Design, develop, modify, validate, and oversee embedded and cloud-edge software, applications, and utility programs.
- Deploy computer vision algorithms and features into commercial XR products.
- Develop production code and system architectures using modern C++.
- Oversee code reviews, regression testing, issue triage, and resolution of technical problems.
- Conduct architectural, power/performance, and hardware/software trade-off analysis as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2-10+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 1-9+ years or a PhD plus 1+ year.
- At least 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Expertise with modern C++ standards from C++11 through C++20 and the ability to write reliable, maintainable, idiomatic code.
- Experience with multicore programming on heterogeneous mobile architectures, including CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, tensor accelerators, systems-on-chip, or embedded systems.
- Preferred experience with augmented/virtual reality, computer vision, graphics pipelines, machine learning methods, camera pipelines, Android, and Linux.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
