Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional technology, hardware, and software teams to understand AR/VR use cases, dataflows, and hardware/software partitioning.
- Translate use-case requirements into implementation specifications and contribute to software design and system architecture.
- Implement and oversee embedded and cloud-edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs.
- Deploy computer vision algorithms and features into commercial XR products.
- Develop production-quality software using modern C++ and multicore programming across heterogeneous mobile architectures.
- Oversee code reviews, regression tests, issue triage, and resolution of design and coding problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 3+ years of software engineering or related experience; or a master's degree plus 2+ years; or a PhD plus 1+ year.
- At least 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Expertise with modern C++ standards 11–20 and reliable, maintainable, idiomatic code.
- Experience with multicore programming on heterogeneous architectures including CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, tensor accelerators, systems-on-chip, or embedded systems.
- Preferred experience with augmented or virtual reality, computer vision, graphics pipelines, machine learning methods, camera pipelines, architectural trade-offs, power/performance analysis, and software/hardware trade-offs.
- Preferred experience with embedded platforms such as Android and Linux, and with Python programming.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
