Base Salary
$240k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build services supporting custody, transfers, issuance, and compliance workflows.
- Own a service or product capability and lead medium-scope engineering projects.
- Lead cross-service initiatives such as API versioning, data model migrations, and compliance-driven workflow changes.
- Improve reliability through logging, tracing, alerts, failure handling, query tuning, caching, and backpressure strategies.
- Build idempotent high-throughput job flows, stable APIs, partner integrations, and strong audit trails.
- Contribute to technical direction through design documents, mentoring, and collaboration with product and compliance.
- Add tests, dashboards, runbook documentation, and onboarding improvements for owned areas.
Requirements
- Senior-level software engineering experience, with the ability to take ownership of production services and cross-service initiatives.
- Experience designing and evolving APIs and backend services without breaking downstream clients.
- Experience improving reliability, observability, performance, and production readiness.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup and make pragmatic tradeoffs in a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with one or more of Go, TypeScript/Node.js, or Rust and the listed service, data, workflow, infrastructure, and observability technologies.
- Ability to collaborate with product managers, compliance teams, engineers, banking partners, and crypto infrastructure providers.
