Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, maintain, and support scalable custom software solutions.
- Prepare technical design specifications and knowledge-transfer materials based on functional requirements.
- Lead or participate in architecture, design, code, and requirements reviews.
- Develop robust and highly scalable web services and distributed systems.
- Improve existing applications and codebases by identifying issues, patterns, and enhancement opportunities.
- Lead cloud, DevOps, or AI modernization initiatives and investigate relevant technologies.
- Mentor less experienced developers and coordinate technical implementation with colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support customer support teams with technical problem resolution.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of professional experience is required, including extensive Java Full Stack Development and Java Enterprise Edition experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 9 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments and at least 5 years developing and debugging distributed systems and cloud-based big data systems.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems, data architecture, cloud big data solutions, and machine learning technologies.
- React, Pulsar, Snowflake, software security tools and practices, and shell scripting experience are preferred or advantageous.
- Experience leading cloud, DevOps, or AI modernization initiatives, with strong understanding of LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains.
- Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, organizational, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
