Responsibilities
- Own and deliver CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure workstreams, and internal developer tooling.
- Build self-service platform features and tools that integrate with delivery pipelines and reduce developer friction.
- Design, automate, deploy, and operate medium-to-large infrastructure components in production.
- Debug and resolve production infrastructure and software issues while improving performance, reliability, availability, and durability.
- Develop and promote infrastructure architecture patterns and platform practices.
- Integrate telemetry, monitoring, feedback loops, security, disaster recovery, scalability, and compliance into solutions.
- Write post-mortems with root-cause analysis and preventative or remedial actions.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident management with the IM team.
- Collaborate with product, QA, UX, and other engineering teams on solutions, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, development and delivery process improvements, team best practices, and mentoring associate engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and platform practices.
- Relevant certifications such as Azure Platform Engineer Expert, AWS Certified Platform Engineer, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator is preferred.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies is preferred.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools is preferred.
- Experience with security and compliance frameworks is preferred.
