Responsibilities
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including technical design, implementation, coding, and testing of web applications and digital interfaces.
- Improve and optimize applications through code reviews, refactoring, and architectural updates.
- Design and implement web services and RESTful APIs.
- Develop front-end web client applications and scalable full-stack solutions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, support escalations, and bugs with team members and business stakeholders.
- Apply design patterns, coding standards, and development best practices to create secure, reliable, reusable, and scalable code.
- Automate repetitive development and operational tasks.
- Contribute to technical design, web architecture decisions, and continuous process improvements.
- Facilitate collaborative sessions with development teams and business units to resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a full-stack web developer using Python, Vue/JavaScript, C++ object-oriented programming, or equivalent technologies.
- Proven ability to design and implement web services with RESTful APIs.
- Demonstrated experience implementing front-end web client applications.
- Strong working knowledge of version control software and workflows such as Git or SVN, along with CI/CD build pipelines.
- Postsecondary education in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical working experience.
- Fluency in written and spoken French and English.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks and methodologies is preferred.
- Practical experience with Nginx web servers is preferred.
- Experience in derivatives trading or clearing is preferred.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace/G Suite is preferred.
- Proficiency with Unix/Linux command-line tools is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud deployment strategies and environments is preferred.
