Responsibilities
- Conceive and document technical analyses for primarily web-based software application development and integration.
- Integrate, optimize, and maintain cloud solutions and develop, test, and maintain related APIs.
- Perform hands-on development and coding, unit, integration, and functional testing, and deployment support.
- Support application maintenance and respond to system issues and bugs.
- Contribute to solution design and architecture in collaboration with the team and lead developers.
- Implement and integrate applications, maintain appropriate documentation, and conduct integration testing of separately developed components.
Requirements
- Certificate or bachelor’s degree in computer science specializing in software development, or equivalent.
- Five to seven years of experience in an application development role with a proven record of front-end and back-end web development.
- Experience with Microsoft development environments, continuous integration environments such as Jenkins, and source code archiving tools such as Git.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap, AngularJS, the .NET platform, and C#.
- Experience with Azure services including Function Apps, Data Factory, Event Grid, and Data Storage.
- Experience developing web services using REST API architecture; OpenAPI/Swagger is an asset.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB; Oracle and SQL Server are assets.
- Experience with test automation tools such as xUnit and Cypress is an asset.
- Knowledge of Python and cloud design patterns is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, analytical, organization, and deadline-management skills.
- Advanced spoken and written English and French are required; candidates may undergo skills and knowledge testing and a background check.
