Responsibilities
- Design and develop resilient on-premises and multi-cloud database solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Python.
- Develop high-performance multithreaded, multiprocessing, concurrent, and asynchronous data and metadata processing solutions with robust error and resource management.
- Build secure database, ETL, ELT, Spark-based processing, streaming, replication, partitioning, clustering, CDC, and time-travel debugging capabilities.
- Create full-stack applications with responsive web interfaces, RESTful APIs, backend services, database integrations, self-service features, dashboards, workflow automation, and metadata-driven solutions.
- Develop AI-powered data discovery, classification, sensitive-data protection, natural language processing, and automated data-masking solutions using LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows.
- Build automation and tooling for firmwide data engineering and application development teams, and contribute to modernization, platform standardization, observability, cost efficiency, backup, restore, access management, DDL, and data-movement initiatives.
Requirements
- More than 4 years of experience designing and implementing complex database and data solutions combined with full-stack application development.
- Strong database and data-engineering expertise across PostgreSQL, DB2, SQL Server, Sybase, Snowflake, Azure SQL, MongoDB, Teradata, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Hands-on full-stack development experience with Java, Spring Boot, Python, REST APIs, and Angular.
- Understanding of API design, microservices architecture, OAuth, service principals, token-based authentication, and secure application development.
- Experience writing and optimizing complex Python scripts for multithreaded, multiprocess, concurrent, and asynchronous execution; Apache Spark experience is an asset.
- Experience designing and developing AI-powered solutions using LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows.
- Ability to build and optimize data pipelines and data architectures, preferably with Talend, Kafka, and/or Informatica.
- Expertise in performance optimization, scalability, troubleshooting, analytical problem-solving, and software design.
- Knowledge of both French and English is required.
