Responsibilities

  • Design and develop resilient on-premises and multi-cloud database solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Python.
  • Build high-performance data and metadata processing solutions using Python multithreading, multiprocessing, concurrency, asynchronous execution, and robust resource management.
  • Develop secure database, ETL, ELT, streaming, replication, partitioning, clustering, change-data-capture, and data movement capabilities.
  • Create full-stack applications with responsive web interfaces, APIs, backend services, database integrations, dashboards, workflow automation, and metadata-driven features.
  • Develop AI-powered solutions for sensitive-data discovery, classification, protection, natural language processing, masking, LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic workflows.
  • Build automation and tooling for data engineering and application development teams and contribute to modernization, platform standardization, observability, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
  • Implement database backup and restore, DDL generation and manipulation, database access management, and schema- and object-level data movement.

Requirements

  • More than 4 years of experience designing and implementing complex database and data solutions alongside full-stack application development.
  • Strong database and data engineering expertise across multiple platforms, including PostgreSQL, DB2, SQL Server, Sybase, Snowflake, Azure SQL, MongoDB, Teradata, and Oracle.
  • Hands-on experience with Java/Spring Boot, Python, APIs, and Angular for full-stack application development.
  • Understanding of API design, microservices architecture, OAuth, service principals, token-based authentication, and secure application development.
  • Experience writing and optimizing complex multithreaded, multiprocess, concurrent, and asynchronous Python solutions; Apache Spark experience is an asset.
  • Experience designing and developing AI-powered solutions using LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows.
  • Ability to build and optimize data pipelines and architectures; Talend, Kafka, and Informatica experience is preferred.
  • Expertise in performance optimization, scalability, troubleshooting, analytical problem-solving, and software design.
  • Knowledge of French and English is required.
