Base Salary
$80k - $100k/yr
Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end server onboarding, including initial imaging and bundled firmware updates.
- Provision new servers in response to capacity management needs.
- Perform post-onboarding validation and hand off servers to the Platform team.
- Build and improve automation scripts and provisioning pipelines.
- Track onboarding metrics, identify bottlenecks, and drive process improvements.
- Support server repurposing and migration activities.
- Maintain documentation and runbooks for repeatable provisioning workflows.
- Coordinate with Sales, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, and Hardware teams during onboarding.
- Optimize provisioning processes for increasing volume and quality.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Linux systems administration, deployment automation, or infrastructure operations.
- Strong Bash scripting skills and experience building and maintaining automation scripts.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
- Solid understanding of Linux networking, storage, boot processes, and command-line tooling.
- Experience working in high-volume deployment environments with remote hands support.
- Strong organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively during rapid scaling and high-throughput periods.
- Willingness to learn Vultr-specific provisioning workflows and tooling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
