Responsibilities
- Design and build developer-facing APIs, MCP tools, and CLI integrations for developers and AI agents.
- Own the technical direction of key platform surfaces that make Auth0 consumable by agents.
- Drive cross-cutting technical decisions that keep the platform coherent and easy to build on.
- Collaborate peer-to-peer with tech leads across teams, unblock others, and raise the execution bar.
- Apply developer empathy when designing and shipping APIs and other developer-facing experiences.
Requirements
- Have 7+ years of software engineering experience, including meaningful work on platforms, SDKs, or developer tooling.
- Demonstrate strong Node.js fundamentals; Go experience is a plus.
- Have designed and shipped APIs or developer-facing surfaces at scale.
- Be comfortable owning ambiguous problems without heavy top-down scoping.
- Have hands-on familiarity with agentic tooling, MCP, or LLM-facing API design.
- Have experience collaborating across engineering, product, and architecture in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience with identity, authorization, or IAM platforms is preferred.
- Experience with agent frameworks, AI-facing APIs, or LLM developer toolchains is preferred.
- Experience working at a company where developers are the primary customers is preferred.
Benefits
- Annual base salary for candidates in Canada is CAD $160,000-$220,000.
