Base Salary
$87k - $146k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own development, maintenance, and execution of test cases for the Data Access Security control plane and customer-data connectors.
- Design and execute end-to-end tests across user interfaces, APIs, backend data processing, crawl results, permissions, classification, and activity events.
- Reproduce customer-reported issues, isolate defects, document findings, and verify resolutions with software development engineers.
- Author comprehensive test plans, participate in Scrum planning and estimation, and own quality assurance deliverables for an assigned feature team.
- Build test matrices for structured and unstructured data governance scenarios across cloud, SaaS, and on-premises data sources.
- Improve coverage and regression turnaround for asynchronous and event-driven pipelines, and establish quality metrics and automated validation routines.
- Lead testing strategy for major product releases and mentor team members on test strategy and defect isolation.
- Coordinate testing initiatives between US and international DAS engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience testing enterprise software, preferably SaaS or cloud-native products.
- Experience testing distributed systems, including APIs, microservices, and asynchronous or event-driven workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain test cases and collaborate with software engineers on issue reproduction and resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute end-to-end tests across UI, APIs, and data outcomes.
- Ability to work effectively with functional and technical personnel at varying levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- US citizenship and ability to work onsite in Austin, Texas.
- Familiarity with C#, .NET, Java, JavaScript, JSON, and XML is highly desirable.
- Experience with REST API testing using Postman or similar tools is highly desirable.
- Experience with SQL and database platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL is highly desirable.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Box, Google Drive, AWS S3, Snowflake, Databricks, Windows File Server, NetApp, or SMB is valuable.
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, or Kafka-based services is valuable.
- Experience with identity governance, access certifications, or data classification is valuable.
