Responsibilities
- Maintain the reliability, performance, and availability of PhonePe services.
- Administer Linux/Unix systems and manage computer and Linux networking.
- Use open-source technologies, tools, and cloud services to support infrastructure operations.
- Implement operational best practices for always-up, always-available services.
- Participate in the on-call rotation schedule.
- Work with MySQL databases and apply coding, scripting, automation, and configuration management skills.
- Support private cloud environments and related infrastructure operations.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of Linux/Unix administration experience.
- Working knowledge of computer networking and Linux networking using IP, iptables, and IPsec.
- Experience with open-source technologies, cloud services, IT operations best practices, and on-call rotations.
- Experience working with MySQL; MariaDB and Percona experience is a plus.
- Coding and scripting experience, preferably with Perl, Python, or Golang.
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as SaltStack.
- Hands-on experience with private cloud environments.
- Desirable experience with KVM/QEMU, container orchestration, NoSQL databases such as Aerospike, Galera cluster operations, and data center activities.
- Effective English communication skills and a strong technical background.
