Responsibilities
- Design and train high-performance computer vision models for automated vehicle damage detection.
- Architect and maintain high-throughput, containerized microservices for low-latency model serving using REST and gRPC.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into scalable, production-grade machine learning solutions.
- Own the model lifecycle from experimentation and design through deployment, optimization, and production operation.
- Design and maintain Kafka-based streaming data pipelines for model serving and inference.
- Optimize model performance and reliability under high-traffic production workloads.
- Lead technical solution development and contribute to technical design reviews.
Requirements
- Graduate education, such as an MS or PhD, in a computationally intensive domain or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of computer vision experience.
- Advanced proficiency with computer vision frameworks such as PyTorch, OpenCV, and TensorFlow, along with Python and SQL.
- Experience designing and maintaining visual data annotation pipelines and evaluation frameworks for complex image datasets.
- Experience optimizing high-latency models for real-time inference.
- Backend software engineering experience in the cloud using AWS or GCP, with Docker-based microservices and the machine learning model development lifecycle.
- Experience building and maintaining Kafka-based streaming data pipelines for real-time model serving.
- Preferred: knowledge of Kubeflow, Databricks, and KServe.
- Preferred: experience designing evaluation frameworks for complex visual data.
- Preferred: experience leading technical design reviews.
