Responsibilities
- Develop and execute firmware test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for communication card releases.
- Perform functional, integration, acceptance, performance, reliability, regression, and DVT testing.
- Validate firmware across hardware platforms, sensors, communication interfaces, peripherals, and configurations.
- Use black-box testing and clear-box techniques to diagnose defects with developers.
- Support test automation, hardware bring-up, pre-production validation, and release readiness reviews.
- Log, reproduce, track, and verify defects; collaborate on root-cause analysis and fix validation.
- Prepare test reports, release summaries, and quality metrics and provide testability feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer, or IT Engineering.
- 2–4 years of relevant software DVT testing experience.
- Python development experience, primarily for test automation, is preferred.
- Experience with at least one of SNMP, Modbus, BACnet, HTTPS, REST APIs, or Redfish.
- Required experience with Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Rally, JIRA, GitLab, or Bugzilla defect-tracking tools.
- TCP/IP or networking protocol experience is a plus.
- Git, testing processes, test setup, issue analysis, test design, containerization, virtualization, API testing, Wireshark, and firmware engineering experience are advantageous.
- Strong written and spoken English communication and effective teamwork skills.
